Purpose of The MLPOA

The Mountain Lake Property Owners’ Association is a member of the Federation of Ontario Cottagers’ Association (FOCA), a voluntary, non-profit organization representing over 500 Ontario cottagers’ associations along with individual and corporate supporters.  FOCA has been a driving force in encouraging a healthy future for waterfronts throughout Ontario and your MLPOA Board is proud to be one of its supporting members.

This year marks the forty-fourth anniversary of our Association and over these past years we, as volunteers have accomplished much to unite individual property owners into a strong, socially active and caring community.  We have been actively engaged in representing the various interests and concerns of all of our members here on the Lake in such areas as the environment along with provincial and municipal affairs to name a few. In addition, we strive to stay up-to-date on any new issues or initiatives affecting our Lake such as invasive species, water quality and others.

Our redesigned website along with our Facebook page, email blasts, and Newsletters will now enable us to communicate directly and interactively with our membership and make it easier for the exchange of ideas and information for all.

 

In summary, the main purpose of our Association is to maintain and protect a healthy and sustainable lake environment for the year round enjoyment of all who experience the beauty of our Mountain Lake.
